Whenever I dig through CarMax (frequently) I always see semi exotics being offered at more pedestrian prices. These aren’t Craigslist specials that just have a picture of an engine under the hood but cars with an available warranty! Good, clean, powerful cars! And every time I see them, their sad little faces say “please let me find a good home. I don’t want to be stanced or shown off, I want to race!” It like those sad puppy and abused animal commercials, pure heartbreak...
I’m not going to play you Sarah McLachlan but I believe it’s our duty as Opponauts to find these cars good homes!

Everyone here knows about the future classic C63 with it’s big displacement V8 and these stunning examples can be bought with a warranty and delivered anywhere in the United States! And both for less than $36,000!
If you’re looking for a 4 door car or know someone who is and they aren’t thrilled to compromise for that family-mobile, show them these! Let’s spread the love Oppo!!!

gimme a year. I’m actually seriously considering one of these or an E63

Oh yes! They are ridiculous!! Hell, even a E550 would be hilarious fun for what people buy new Accords for!!
I was looking at a GTI or Focus ST but I can get a 2012 c350 for less money and still get a warranty and more features!
It’s bananas really

I KNOW! It’s funny. a decent GTI is around $27K. a “”””decent”””” camry is the same price. WHY BUY THE CAMRY?!
also, I’m hoping I can get the E63 or C63. Those two are much better than the equivalent M3/M5 IMO (save for the lack of stick)

They’re cheaper too, Merc’s always lose value faster than a Veyron in a drag race. Plus I think they’re better DD’s if I’m honest
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:24 |

exactly! I originally wanted a 2011 M5. NOPE! they’re like 55-60K
2011 E63 AMG? well; look for yourself!

Hnnngggghhh! And who’s going to look at that and not think “Damn! That’s a $100k car right there! Neat!” for Camaro SS money!

Even cheaper plus CarMax warranty if a turbo goes kaput

I lust. If only I could justify.
A C-63 for about the price of a loaded F-250 of the same era. Yes!

turbo?! WHAT TURBO?? I'm getting a 2010 or 2011 for the simple fact of avoiding those. I want my naturally aspirated 6.2 litre 518hp V8, not another turbo car
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:41 |

no one :D
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:45 |

I did not realize that those were still 6.2’s I though all the new E63’s had the 5.5L turbo! Now I really want one too!!

What happens after the warranty expires?
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:47 |

Hey, four doors and heated seats! It’s a family car!
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:48 |
|
nope. the 2010 and the 2011 E63 AMG rock the M156 with it's cubic inches. the 2012+ ones rock the big bad biturbo V8
![]() 09/15/2015 at 23:51 |

Same thing that happens to every other car when the warranty expires.

And you still ask why I want one....
No replacement for displacement! plus; why boost an E63 when having pure engine is
so much more satisfying

Oh I would never question the want of an E63, I’d like to rock one myself someday! Expensive luxury cars should have large engines, it’s the only truly excessive luxury left anymore IMO
![]() 09/16/2015 at 00:07 |

that’s a good point on the luxury car :)
I’m so glad I’m young and can have the opportunity to get cars like these young :D
